We prioritize a thorough ultrasonic cleaning process to remove corrosion from every nook and cranny of your phone’s logic board. This detailed method ensures that no damage goes unnoticed. Afterward, we skillfully microsolder new components, replacing any burnt-out elements, and delicately run jumper wires to restore data pathways. This approach isn’t just effective; it’s the only proper way to salvage data from a liquid-damaged phone. By neglecting to remove shields.
Our Rates?
It’s important to note that providing a precise price without assessing the device’s condition is difficult. Please keep in mind that prices may vary and can increase depending on the condition of the device. Additionally, note that drives previously opened are rarely recoverable by us. Make sure to mention this before sending in your device.
Common iPhone Data Recovery Questions
Long screw damage happens when the wrong-sized screw is used in an iPhone. Unlike other devices, iPhones have screws that attach directly to the board. If a long screw is used where a short one should be, it can pierce through the board, damaging crucial components. This often occurs due to mix-ups or the desire to tighten screws excessively. It’s a common mistake, especially among inexperienced technicians rushing to meet customer demands.
Recovering your photos depends on what’s causing the issue! Your iPhone is made up of various parts, and if it’s not turning on, there could be several reasons why. Here’s what we can do to try to bring your device back to life:
1.Screen – If the phone seems unresponsive but the screen is blank, it could be a problem with the LCD. We’ll check this out and replace it if needed.
2.Battery – If your iPhone has been around the block and the battery is worn out, it might not have enough juice to power up. We’ll check the battery’s voltage and replace it if it’s worn out.
3.Chargeport – Sometimes, the chargeport can get gunked up or damaged over time, preventing the phone from charging properly. We’ll clean or replace it if necessary.
4.Logic board – If there’s a deeper issue like a short circuit or a faulty charging IC on the logic board, we’ll get to the bottom of it and replace any damaged components.
No matter what’s causing the problem, we’ll do our best to get your iPhone back up and running so you can access those precious photos again!
Fixing an iPhone that fell in water. First off, we’ll give your board a once-over using our trusty known-good parts. This helps us figure out if we’re dealing with a part hiccup or if the board itself is giving us grief. If it’s just a part acting up, we’ll let you know and swap it out with your consent.
Now, if the phone’s got a board issue, like a pesky short circuit that’s when things get a tad trickier. We’ll need to roll up our sleeves and start poking around, measuring power rails, and pinpointing where the bulk of the water damage lurks. Clearing out any shorts we stumble upon is crucial before we even think about replacing busted parts otherwise, your phone will remain dead.
Recovering your data depends on the state of your phone! If you’re solely interested in your data and not the bells and whistles, we can focus solely on the essentials. Parts like speakers or cameras, while important for regular phone use, don’t affect data recovery. However, if you want a fully functioning phone afterward, we can also replace these parts for you. Here’s what we need to be in working order:
1.Screen: You need to see the device, interact with it, and trust the computer. While the backlight isn’t crucial, having a functioning image and touch screen is. You’ll also need to log into the phone to back it up.
2.Battery: Your device needs power to turn on. While we can use a tool called a Squid attached to a power supply, it’s best to have a functioning battery. The phone’s logic board must be able to work off a battery, even if we use the Squid.
3.Charge port: This allows you to connect the device to a computer for data backup. If you’re lucky, a faulty charge port might be the only thing standing between your iPhone and recovery.
4.Logic board: The logic board must be free from corrosion and shorts to boot up and recover your data. If it’s not, we’ll need to fix it before proceeding.
Once we’ve confirmed that all these parts are working, and if you have your passcode handy, you can plug your phone into a computer and start the backup process. You can choose to back up your information to the cloud or a HDD/USB drive, giving you two copies of your data for added security. This ensures that even if you lose one backup, you’ll still have the other with all your important data intact.
Absolutely, an iPhone can withstand water to some extent. Most iPhones come with an IP67 rating, which means they are dust and water-resistant. However, it’s crucial to understand that this rating indicates resistance, not waterproofing. While your iPhone can withstand splashes and brief exposure to water, it’s not designed to be submerged for extended periods.
It’s important to keep in mind that your phone is an electronic device and should ideally be kept away from water altogether, just like other electronic gadgets.
Furthermore, factors like general wear and tear and previous screen replacements can significantly affect your device’s water resistance. For instance, when you replace the screen on an iPhone 6s or later model, the device should ideally have a new water seal. While this helps in keeping water out, it may not offer the same level of protection as the original Apple seal. Therefore, it’s essential to handle your iPhone with care and avoid exposing it to water whenever possible.
If your iPhone is up and running, data recovery becomes a breeze!
All you need are a few essentials: a cable, a laptop with some storage space, and of course, your phone. There are two handy programs for backing up iPhones: iTunes and 3uTools, each with its perks.
Let’s break it down:
1.3uTools: Simply plug in your device, enter the passcode, and hit ‘trust’ (you might need to punch in your password again at this stage). From there, just hit ‘backup’ and choose what you want to save. If you’re only after photos, head to the data tab and click on photos to export them. You can cherry-pick contacts or any other bits you fancy with this tool.
2.iTunes: While not as versatile as 3uTools, iTunes gets the job done. Connect your device, enter the passcode, trust the computer, and hit ‘backup’. iTunes will take care of backing up photos, apps, videos, and all that jazz.
3.iCloud: Apple’s iCloud service regularly backs up your data to the cloud. So even if your phone bites the dust, your data might still be safe up there. It’s always worth a look.
With these tools at your disposal, backing up your iPhone is a piece of cake, ensuring your precious data stays safe and sound.

So, rest assured that your water-damaged iPhone is in good hands with us, we’ll have it fixed up and running in no time!
Absolutely! Recovering data from a non-responsive iPhone is usually possible, depending on the circumstances. Unless there’s severe damage like a corrupted NAND or a cracked CPU, we can typically work our magic.
In many cases, the issue might be as simple as a faulty charge port, screen, or battery. Sometimes, a bit of board-level work might be necessary, but that’s right up our alley we’re equipped to handle it and bring your device back to life.
One common culprit in iPhones is a problem known as Tristar. This occurs when the charging IC chip gives up the ghost, often due to using non-MFI certified chargers. When this happens, your phone refuses to charge even when plugged in. But fear not, we’ve got the expertise to replace this little chip, using techniques similar to those we use on MacBook logic boards
Absolutely, we can help! When your iPhone takes a dive into water, acting fast is key to improving our chances of data recovery. Opening it up and drying it out promptly gives us the best shot at salvaging your data. Sometimes, all your phone needs is a new screen, charge port, or battery, and lucky for you, we’ve got those parts in stock. With our quick service, you’ll be back up and running in no time!
However, if water has been soaking in for hours on end, corrosion can start to set in. This leads to shorts, where surface mount components like Mosfets and Capacitors become corroded or damaged. Depending on where the water seeped in, shorts can occur in different places. For instance, if it’s on the main power line, your phone won’t even attempt to turn on, no matter how many new parts you throw at it. In such cases, we need to clear the short before your phone can power on again. But don’t worry, we’re well-equipped to handle even the trickiest of situations!
